A language model trained from scratch, only on text written by its community.
Nucleus starts without any prior knowledge. People answer questions and write short texts, a small team reviews them, and every night at midnight the model is trained again on everything that was accepted. The next morning you can check what it picked up.

How it works
No prior knowledge needed. If you can write a clear paragraph, you can help train Nucleus.
- Create an accountUsername, email and password. Every sign-in is confirmed with a code by email or an authenticator app.
- Pick a taskTasks are grouped by topic. Answer a question or write a short text. Harder tasks give more points.
- ReviewAutomatic checks run first, then a team member reviews your text. If it is rejected, you get the reason and can revise it once.
- Nightly trainingAt midnight (Berlin time) the model learns from the whole learning file again – it keeps what it knew and adds what is new. In the morning you can test it in the chat.
Review process
All automatic checks run on our own server. Your texts are not sent to any external AI service.

Yes. Nucleus is a non-commercial hobby project.
Why train from scratch instead of using an existing model?
Because the point is to see what a model learns from this community alone. Early on its answers will be rough – that is expected, and you can watch it improve.
What happens to my texts?
Accepted texts are added to the learning file without your name and used to train the model. See the privacy policy for details.
Why is the minimum age 16?
Using your texts for training is based on your consent. Under the GDPR, people under 16 would need consent from their parents.
Can I use ChatGPT to write my answers?
No. A model trained on AI-generated text gets worse. Such texts are flagged and rejected.
How much can I use the chat?
Each account has a daily token limit (8,000 tokens, resets at midnight) and can keep up to 5 saved chats. To start another chat once you reach the limit, delete one first.
